What should you know before surgery?

At this stage, the presence of the patient pictures at a younger age are very helpful. At least 2 weeks before surgery it is necessary to avoid smoking and alcohol intake, calculate the menstrual cycle, agree on taking any medications with the surgeon. Plastic surgery on the face (including endoscopic lifting) is performed under general anesthesia. The duration of the operation depends on which set of lifting is performed, it usually takes 2-4 hours, sometimes even more. Before the operation special hair styling is carried out. Incisions are performed in accordance to correction plan by special marking.

Possible complications of facelift surgery:

  • Swelling, which usually appears after surgery and persists for several weeks after surgery.
  • Moderate hematomas, which are usually observed in most patients after surgery.
  • Scars after surgery remain where they are usually hidden in the natural folds and under the hair growth area of the head.
  • Decrease or loss of skin sensibility (is temporary).
  • Alopecia in scar areas on the head (usually minor at endoscopic approach).
