What should you know before surgery?

It is also necessary to proceed the list of clinical analysis to clarify the patient’s state of health at the moment. At least 2 weeks before surgery it is necessary to avoid smoking and alcohol intake, calculate the menstrual cycle, agree on taking any medications with the surgeon. It is necessary to have a special compression garment by appropriate breast size, beforehand.



Possible complications after augmentation mammoplasty:

  • Implant contouring
  • Capsular contracture (usually requires surgical correction)
  • Keloid scars
  • Hematoma
  • Disturbance of sensitivity of the nipple and areola (usually up to 6 months)
  • Displacement of endoprosthesis (more often observed after axillary approach)
